Nuevas Miradas
WHAT?Nuevas Miradas/EICTV is an open forum for film projects in development intended for students and graduates from the International School of Film and TV (EICTV), and independent Cuban filmmakers.
Nuevas Miradas/EICTV is an answer to the need of having a professional space for the development of first features.
Created by the EICTV Production Department, the forum is sponsored by the La Habana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, the Foundation of New Latin American Cinema and the Guadalajara International Film Festival.
WHO?
Authors of fiction, documentary and animation feature-length projects, as well as TV movies and serials with a minimum length of 55 minutes.
WHEN
July-September: Call for entries and selection of projects.
December: Celebration of Nuevas Miradas/EICTV forum.
March: Participation of selected projects at the Guadalajara International Film Festival.
HOW
After the selections are made, the Nuevas Miradas/EICTV Catalog is published for the Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.
Authors will receive counseling during meetings with a group of international experts that change every year. In addition, authors can meet with potential investors at Hotel Nacional de Cuba, venue of the La Habana Film Festival.
After this experience, the selected projects and their producers participate at the Guadalajara film Festival, where they are promoted in different sections.
